Job Description
  • Supervise the construction of marine infrastructure, including dredging, piling, quay walls, breakwaters, and other coastal projects. Ensure that all work adheres to the project's strict environmental and sustainability objectives
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to oversee marine construction activities, ensuring they align with the project's design standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of workers, crane operators, and divers, ensuring efficient coordination of tasks.
  • Conduct team training through Toolbox Talks, safety drills, and pre-task briefings to maintain high safety standards.
  • Ensure that all personnel on board, including non-crew members, comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure that construction activities adhere to approved specifications.
  • Develop and manage the project schedule, tracking progress and providing regular updates to the construction manager/ project manager.
  • Identify and resolve delays or potential risks, ensuring timelines are met.
  • Address and resolve any on-site challenges that arise, adjusting project plans and strategies as necessary to keep the project on track.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Expertise in marine construction methodologies, innovative technologies, and sustainable practices.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and plans, ensuring compliance with Project's design and environmental requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in site supervision, with at least 5 years in marine construction (piling, dredging, breakwaters, quay walls, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Middle Eastern work environments; previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is an asset.
  • Prior experience managing large-scale marine projects, ideally in remote or challenging environments.
  • Experience with high-profile, environmentally-conscious is highly desirable.
  • Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are an advantage.
  • Willingness to work in a remote location as part of the NEOM project.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
