Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Site Mechanical Engineer to oversee mechanical installations on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and construction management, ensuring that all mechanical work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise mechanical installations on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure project alignment and execution.
  • Review and approve mechanical shop drawings and submittals.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during construction.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on status and any challenges faced.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Assist in the preparation of project schedules and budgets.


Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • +5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire safety systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Leadership qualities to manage and mentor junior engineers and site staff.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with construction project management software.
  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices and energy-efficient systems.
  • Proficiency in conducting site safety audits and implementing safety protocols.
  • Understanding of equipment selection, procurement, and installation processes.
