Job Description:
MAPA Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. This role requires a professional with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines. The Site Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with local and international standards, and coordinating with clients, consultants, and designers to achieve project success.
Responsibilities:
Project Management and Engineering Oversight:
· Leading and overseeing all engineering aspects of multiple construction projects, ensuring timely and quality execution.
· Ensuring compliance with local and international engineering and project management standards.
· Providing technical expertise and guidance on civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering works as required.
· Managing coordination between clients, consultants, designers, and internal project teams.
· Identifying potential engineering challenges and provide solutions to mitigate risks.
· Supervising construction work to ensure adherence to design specifications, industry best practices, and safety regulations.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
· Leading and managing a team of engineers and technical staff on-site.
· Fostering collaboration and effective communication across multidisciplinary teams.
· Conducting regular progress meetings with stakeholders to address engineering-related concerns.
· Providing mentorship and training to junior engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.
Construction Execution and Quality Control:
· Overseeing the execution of engineering works, including pipeline installations, pump stations, and reservoir construction in the water sector.
· Implementing quality control measures to ensure project requirements are met.
· Monitoring project performance, identifying areas for improvement in engineering processes.
· Ensuring timely resolution of any engineering or technical issues encountered during construction.
Procurement Support:
· Collaborating with the Supply Chain Department to provide technical support in sourcing and evaluating materials and services.
· Ensuring that technical specifications and standards are met in all procurement activities.
Reporting and Compliance:
· Preparing and presenting technical reports, project updates, and engineering solutions to management and stakeholders.
· Maintaining accurate documentation of engineering plans, modifications, and approvals.
· Ensuring that all engineering activities align with regulatory standards and safety protocols in KSA.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (MSc Degree is a plus).
Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in the field, with at least 7 years in an Engineering Manager role.
Industry Expertise: Professional experience in the water sector, including pipeline construction, pump stations, and reservoir stations construction.
Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in multiple engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical). Familiarity with local and international project management standards and best practices.
Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage large teams and multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
Coordination Experience: Familiarity with working in international consulting firms and managing coordination between clients, consultants, and designers.
Project Management: Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and manage multiple engineering projects efficiently.
Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language would be a plus).
