Job Description

  • Build and implement mathematical model for Radar Systems in a modeling tool for performance characterization of the radar signal processing system.
  • Conduct trade-studies between competing radar signal processing algorithms.
  • Design and Develop signal processing algorithms for phased array radar systems.
  • Design and Develop Pulse compression and Range-Doppler processing algorithm for modulated pulse and continuous wave radars.
  • Design and Develop resource scheduler for multi-function radar to optimize the antenna and processing resources.
  • Explore new concepts and techniques in signal processing literature and incorporate in existing models.
  • Work with antenna, Circuits, data processing and embedded systems team to understand the impact of radar signal processing algorithms on other subsystems.
  • Write design documents that will enable embedded systems team to implement the algorithms in real-time.
  • Conduct experiments with team members in the lab to understand and improve on the understanding of Radar Signal Processing concepts.
  • Support in lab activities and projects.
  • Support lab members in field experiments.

Skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of signal processing concepts.
  • Knowledge and experience of using MATLAB/Julia/Python/Gnu Radio/LabView.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Linear Algebra, Differential equations, and calculus.
  • Knowledge of Github and version control is a plus.
  • Ability to work with windows/linux based OS.
