Job Description

Overview & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Sales Manager for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, overseeing and managing sales activities for a defined territory. This role is responsible for driving business growth by promoting and selling the company's products and services, specifically focused on inspections, maintenance, servicing, and retrofitting of turbomachinery and associated equipment such as steam turbines, compressors, and cryogenic pumps. The role requires a strategic approach to territory management, business planning, customer relationship building, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.


Job Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned accounts within the designated territory and allocate resources to meet business objectives.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the hydrocarbon processing and secondary industries, such as oil, gas, petrochemical, power generation, and more.
  • Submit annual business plans, monthly sales reports, and forecasts to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and aligning them with the company's capabilities.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and competitors' activities while setting short, medium, and long-term objectives to exceed sales budgets.
  • Prepare winning proposals, negotiate contractual terms, and ensure successful project completion while maintaining desired profit margins.
  • Monitor project execution and ensure timely delivery, full compliance with requirements, and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in trade fairs, road shows, and sales presentations to promote the company's products and services.
  • Recommend, justify, and manage local sales representatives, providing training and guidance as necessary.
  • Uphold the company’s standards in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in sales and business development, particularly within the turbomachinery or rotating equipment sector. Knowledge of steam turbines, compressors, pumps, and related equipment is essential.
  • Strong understanding of hydrocarbon processing industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, and gas transmission, as well as secondary industries like power generation, iron and steel, and paper and pulp.
  • Excellent territory management, planning, and organizational skills. Ability to produce detailed business plans, proposals, and sales forecasts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and clients. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand and respond to customer needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Ability to stay informed of technological advancements and market trends while being flexible in approach to capture new opportunities.
  • Experience in managing and training local sales representatives is a plus.
