About you and this role

Dow Building & Infrastructure is a developing and growing market across Europe, Middle East and Africa. To support our industry and innovation portfolio in Middle East, we are seeking a Technical Service & Development Engineer (TS&D), to be located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As TS&D, you will represent Dow and support our brand credibility in the market. You will be responsible in engaging with customers, establishing new relationships, collaborations and providing strong technical support. You will have to understand the needs of our customers, the trends of the market, connect with influencers, such as façade consultants, structural engineers, architects, applicators… and help in the development of new applications.

You will work in close relationship with our customers and distributors. You will interact with a local and European based team, taking advantage of well experienced co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Has ability to read technical drawings and can handle/learn joint dimensioning calculations to support daily customer requests
• Has a practical approach with production / construction sites, ready to understand how a project business develops, including involved parties & decision-making process
• Visit and audit customers to ensure the proper use of our products as part of a continuous quality improvement program. Hands on approach (at site) for training and ‘trouble shooter’ when it comes to specific application questions
• Comprehends local regulations, standards, certifications process by country and role of specifying bodies
• Can embrace new digital tools to support daily activities & promote Dow solutions to the whole value chain
• Support new product launches and market introductions providing technical expertise and knowledge. Identify market trends/customer needs and offer solutions, based on products, applications or design. Perform technical competitive analysis to understand and shape project targets
• Establish professional relations with influencers on the market, such as Façade consultants, architects, and so forth; you will build internal and external network with key influencers and stakeholders
• Can be author/support on papers and presentations and potentially presents at industry conferences.

Qualifications

• Yo have a Master's Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or science related field required
• You are an excellent communicator. English and Arabic are compulsory
• You are willing to travel for about 30% of time
• You are flexible, with a problem solving and creative mindset
• You are dynamic, proactive and able to work well independently as well as in team
• You are able to build customer relationships and trust
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in any related field
• You have a good understanding of construction life cycle project, including involved parties & decision making process
