Senior Specialist - Business Continuity (EMKAN)



Job Description



JOB PURPOSE:
To assist in developing, maintaining and testing business plan activities to enable EMKAN to manage a crisis event as well as meet compliance requirements for Business Continuity planning. To support in implementing the Business Continuity framework, policies and procedures to ensure the company maintain the necessary resources to achieve it’s short-, medium- and long-term objectives.

Functional Accountabilities:



Support the Business Continuity Senior Manager in implementing the Business Continuity program to meet the functional requirements. Design and outline EMKAN’s BCM goals, objectives and scope of business plans and crisis management. Support senior management in aligning all BC Planning, initiatives and goals with the Company’s goals and infrastructure capabilities. Assist/guide EMKAN divisions/departments and units to develop, document and maintain their Business Impact Analysis and business continuity plans, procedures, associated roles and responsibilities necessary to facilitate recovery of their critical business functions/resources and ensuring that plans and procedures align seamlessly with defined continuity requirements. Identify and make recommendations for change and adaptation to meet the needs of the business. Lead and coordinate business continuity tests and ensuring that all divisional/departmental components of the business continuity plans successfully tested at least annually in line with an agreed annual test schedule. Ensure that the recovery time objective (RTO) proposed by IT/business functions for all EMK DR systems not exceeded by the maximum acceptable outage (MAO) value requested by business. Monitor the progress of open corrective actions & ensure that root causes are properly identified and verified. Contribute to establishing and maintaining program processes and practices which effectively ensure that the enterprise program remains current and align with industry standards. Monitor, develop and update Business Continuity standards document (Policy/Procedure, CM plan, ERT plan and strategy). Measure and evaluate Business Continuity effectiveness (KPIs) Contribute to promoting the overall Business Continuity culture to increase awareness for EMKAN employees and maintain an effective and efficient security environment. Ensure appropriate integration of requirements and information obtained from various sources including external regulators and auditors to achieve the business continuity management objectives. Prepare the required Business Continuity reports for tracking all related activities and to ensure all are well-documented and in a timely and quality manner. Prepare and publish test reports to the relevant stakeholders. Maintain the confidentiality of information that they have access to or came across during their employment at EMKAN. Adherence to all regulations and control function within the company in order to ensure that governance, Audit, risk and compliance matters are carried out. Fully adherence to the cybersecurity policies, processes, standards and regulations.

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills



Academic Degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, Management Information systems or related fields. 4-6 years in the Business Continuity, IT, Risk or Compliance.
