Job Description

Job Summary: As a Senior Quality Control Engineer specializing in Procurement, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our procured materials and products. Your role will focus on establishing robust quality control processes, conducting supplier evaluations, and ensuring adherence to specifications to support our operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Assurance Leadership:
  • Develop and implement quality control strategies and procedures for procured materials, components, and finished products.
  • Define quality requirements and specifications in collaboration with procurement, engineering, and production teams.
  1. Supplier Evaluation and Management:
  • Evaluate potential suppliers based on quality standards, capabilities, and performance metrics.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
  1. Quality Control in Procurement Processes:
  • Establish inspection plans and sampling procedures for incoming materials and components.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through data analysis, defect analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  1. Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with procurement managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Communicate quality requirements and expectations to suppliers and facilitate effective supplier relationships.
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of quality issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on supplier quality performance, deviations, and corrective actions for management review.
  1. Risk Management and Compliance:
  • Assess risks associated with procured materials and suppliers, implementing risk mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality management systems.
  1. Training and Development:
  • Provide training and guidance to procurement and quality control teams on quality standards, inspection techniques, and quality assurance processes.
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness, continuous improvement, and accountability within the procurement function.
