Description and Requirements

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced International Cost Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of international cost engineering principles and practices, and will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, and ensuring financial compliance on international construction projects. The International Cost Engineer will work closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver cost-effective solutions

Role Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for international construction projects.
  
• Review and validate cost proposals from contractors and suppliers.
  
• Monitor project budgets, ensuring adherence to cost plans and identifying potential cost overruns.
  
• Conduct regular cost reviews and analyses, providing insights into project cost performance and analyze cost trends
  
• Identify cost savings opportunities and develop recommendations for cost reduction.
  
• Participate in contract negotiations, ensuring cost-effective terms and conditions.
  
• Manage contract changes and variations, assessing their financial implications and monitor contract compliance and performance.
  
• Identify and assess cost risks associated with international projects.
  
• Monitor risk performance and provide updates to management.
  
• Communicate cost information and recommendations to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  
• Participate and support project sourcing activities.
  

Role Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Cost Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in international cost engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Proficient in using cost engineering software tools (e.g., Primavera Cost Management, Microsoft Project, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Fluent in English and Arabic
