Job Summary:
Senior Project Engineering Coordinator who should be Responsible for coordination of project plans, contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by Worley.
Reviews bill of materials/project schedules/forecasts for accuracy. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders. Often functions as assistant project manager. This role would apply to those without an engineering background.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination and Management:
- Lead the coordination of engineering activities across multiple projects to ensure they meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to define scope, objectives, and deliverables for each project phase.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring all engineering deliverables are achieved on schedule.
Engineering Design Support:
- Work with engineering teams to ensure that all design and technical aspects of the projects are aligned with the project goals.
- Ensure that engineering designs are compliant with local regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Review and approve engineering documentation, specifications, drawings, and reports.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders (clients, contractors, vendors).
- Facilitate regular meetings to ensure all parties are aligned on progress, issues, and changes.
- Provide regular status reports and updates to senior management on project performance.
Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential project risks and issues related to engineering work and propose mitigation strategies.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve engineering challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Escalate complex issues to senior management when necessary.
Resource Management:
- Oversee the allocation of engineering resources (personnel, tools, and materials) across multiple projects to ensure efficient utilization.
- Coordinate with HR and other departments to ensure the appropriate engineering expertise is available.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all engineering activities meet Worley quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform quality control checks on all engineering deliverables and ensure the accuracy and reliability of all technical documentation.
Mentorship and Training:
- Mentor and support junior engineers and project coordinators, providing guidance and sharing expertise.
- Lead the development of training programs to improve engineering capabilities within the team.
Qualifications:Experience: Experience in project coordination and engineering management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering design tools. Strong understanding of engineering principles, project lifecycles, and industry standards.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and handle competing priorities.
