Senior Project Engineer - SCMS
Senior Project Engineer - SCMS You as a Senior Project Engineer - SCMS will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will be authorized for an engineering discipline with medium to high complexity. Completing engineering assignments for SCADA or RTU on multiple projects cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, delivery time, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Your responsibilities:
Taking full responsibility for creating the project design, engineering activities, and testing MicroSCADA and RTU-related projects from conceptual design to final build status and coordinating the engineering discipline across several projects with external and internal stockholders. Providing technical support for testing, QC, installation and commissioning activities and preparing proposals or presentations of engineering solutions based on customer specifications and budget requirements. Performing factory acceptance testing with the customer to prove system readiness and supporting project managers in issuing claims including new or change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact and risk qualifications. Providing cost-effective quality solutions as per requirements and delivers within time, budget and contract and creating work plans and cost estimates and reviewing and approving scope, budgeting and scheduling for assignments and ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost. Acting as the focal point for customer Interaction, officials, contractors, and others promoting Hitachi Energy's working principles and ethics and attending project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments Training, coaching, supporting and providing technical advice to customers and colleagues elevating their knowledge and technical skills. Indorsing safety and healthy working cultures across all tasks and assignments being handled. Reporting unsafe practices and incidents. Assigning tasks for and directs engineers, technicians and administrative staff. Your background:
A bachelor's degree in electrical or communication engineering. Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in power grids is required. Strong design capability and experience in the engineering discipline of control systems or power systems and experience in industry standards communication protocols IEC61850, IEC101, IEC104, DNP3.0, Modbus etc. Understanding of IEDs and relays functionalities. Familiar with modern practices in Cyber Security, Knowledge of Substation Network Topology design, Knowledge of MicroSCADA, RTUs, communication networks, and their interfaces. Ability to self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to manage critical and complex products and systems and proven communication and coordination skills. Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
