Role Purpose
The Senior Product and Application Manager will oversee the software development lifecycle for the Oxagon, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software applications. This role involves managing a team of contracted developers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and aligning development projects with the Oxagon`s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of software and product development methodologies.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Key Accountabilities & Activities
Strategic Planning and Alignment - Develop and Implement Development Strategy:
- Define the software and product development strategy to align with the Oxagon`s goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure development projects support overall business strategies.
Project Planning and Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Technical Leadership - Technical Oversight:
- Provide technical direction and guidance to the development team.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, coding standards, and quality assurance.
System Architecture and Design:
- Oversee the design and architecture of software applications.
- Ensure scalable, maintainable, and efficient software solutions.
Code Review and Quality Assurance:
- Coordinate with contracted developers to conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance with standards.
- Implement and manage quality assurance processes to maintain high software quality.
Stakeholder Collaboration - Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other Oxagon units to gather requirements and ensure software applications meet business needs.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and the development team.
Requirement Analysis:
- Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure clear and comprehensive documentation of requirements and specifications.
Continuous Improvement - Process Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate and improve development processes and methodologies.
- Implement tools and technologies to enhance development efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recommend and implement new tools, technologies, and best practices to keep the development team competitive.
