Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a hospital in Riyadh, KSA. Our client is looking to hire an experienced Procurement Officer, who will analyze market conditions, manage purchasing processes, and develop strategies to ensure efficient supply chain operations. This role requires strong negotiation skills, the ability to maintain supplier relationships, and a commitment to ethical business practices.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to identify the best products and suppliers based on value, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Analyze market and delivery systems to assess material availability for present and future needs.
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management policies and procedures.
- Collaborate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, and substitute materials.
- Negotiate contracts and policies with suppliers, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Direct and coordinate procurement activities, managing a team responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of goods ordered and received; forecast demand to meet business needs.
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments, and customers to foster strong relationships.
- Process payments and invoices, maintaining contract files for future reference.
- Monitor and report on market conditions and merchandise costs, advising on potential price trends.
- Develop and implement the organization’s purchasing strategy and ensure suppliers understand business objectives.
- Attend meetings and trade conferences, representing the organization professionally.
- Train and supervise procurement staff, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
- Control procurement department budgets and prepare reports on product distribution and consumption.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a purchasing agent or officer in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of operating computerized supply chain systems.
- Mathematical aptitude for working with budgets and figures.
- Good communication, negotiation, networking, organizational, analytical skills.
- Time management and risk management skills.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
