Position Title: Planning EngineerLocation: JizanEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our team for the construction of a new airport. The Planning Engineer will play a critical role in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating activities to ensure the project is executed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of construction methodologies, and the ability to manage complex schedules while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Scheduling:Develop detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, using industry-standard software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.Ensure schedules are realistic, resource-loaded, and aligned with project objectives and milestones.Identify critical paths, dependencies, and constraints to minimize delays.Progress Monitoring:Track project progress against the approved baseline schedule and prepare regular status reports.Conduct delay analysis and recommend recovery plans to address deviations.Evaluate the impact of design changes, resource constraints, or unforeseen conditions on project timelines.Coordination & Communication:Liaise with project stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and client representatives, to ensure alignment on project objectives.Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and other team members to coordinate activities and resources.Prepare and present periodic project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.Risk Management:Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure smooth project execution.Monitor and report on potential scheduling conflicts or delays and propose corrective actions.Documentation & Reporting:Maintain comprehensive records of project schedules, progress updates, and other relevant documentation.Generate dashboards and progress reports, including earned value analysis (EVA), to provide actionable insights.Compliance:Ensure project schedules comply with contractual obligations, technical specifications, and industry standards.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in planning and scheduling for large-scale construction projects, preferably in the aviation or infrastructure sector.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Primavera P6.Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, airport systems, and standards.Familiarity with project management principles, including earned value management.Key Competencies:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred:Previous experience in airport construction projects is preferred but not a mustCertification in project management (e.g., PMP) or planning (e.g., PSP) is preferred but not a must
