Duties and responsibilities:
-Responsible for day-to-day operation of Radiology information system (RIS) & picture archiving communication system (PACS) equipment including image workflow, archiving, auto routing, and prefetching and other related activities. Making sure timely and complete arrival of DICOM digital image data into the PACS system as well as network transmission, RIS validation, and exceptions handling
- Works closely with Hospital Information System, in the development of operating standards, policies, and procedures. Reviews feedback from physicians compiles and analyzes support data, and recommends procedural and educational changes as appropriate
- Acts as liaison between Radiology and other departments related to medical imaging initiatives and procedures and assisting with existing or new medical imaging endeavors.
- Oversees activities of vendors in all phases of installation and implementation of new systems.
- Supervise training on RISIPACS for Radiologists, technicians, front desk Reception or any other technical staff and supervise PACS support personnel
- Maintaining a productive and joint relationship with physician doctors, department managers and anyone in a leadership position within the hospital
- Ensures systems meet Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (IIIPAA) requirements for storage, patient confidentiality and disaster recovery
- Participates in on-job training and in-service lectures to staff trainees and will attend in-service education conducted by the division
- Performs other functions as required and/or assigned department heads.

Qualifications:
-Degree in Radiology Technology from an approved college of Radiologic Technology.
- Meets the Saudi commission for health Specialties licensure requirements.
- Minimum of five years' experience in Radiology Technology, of which at least 2 years should have PACS Associate experience.
Professional experience:
- Minimum of five years' experience in Radiology Technology, of which at least 2
years should have PACS Associate experience
- Testing results for performance improvement and compliance.
- Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
- Very good verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers.
- Great attention to detail.
