POSITION SUMMARY


Located at the DTV regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia, the Senior Marketing & Communications specialist will be responsible for providing strategic corporate and marketing communications support to the Middle East regional business (including Industrial Gases, Specialty Gases, Helium, CryoEase and Liquid Bulk businesses). The role also encompasses regional and functional communications support for the DTV office, Project Delivery organisation; joint venture entities (ie: Air Products Qudra and JIGPC); and HR initiatives and activities, mainly in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


III, NATURE AND SCOPE


This role is important to support the strategic and regional priorities of the business within the Middle East. The region is growing rapidly and to support that growth we need a senior marketing & Communications specialist to manage integrated marketing and corporate communications campaigns for the business to sustain a leading position in the markets we serve. The individual will report to the Marketing Communications Manager. This role needs to work closely with the regional business leaders; global and regional communications counterparts; strategic marketing in the UAE; as well as other functional group such as HR, Security, Legal, Finance and Procurement. In addition, the individual will need to demonstrate the capabilities and experience to navigate complex regional partnership roles such as: APQ, AHG, AP, JIGPC, NGHC


IV. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


This position is accountable for the following end results:


Integrated Marketing Communications Campaigns (15%)


Working with the commercial manager and strategic marketing manager for Industrial Gases Middle East to understand yearly objectives and develop the marcomms plan to support accordingly


Implementing the tactical actions needed to produce results as defined in the marcomms plan


Creating marketing adverts, brochures, customer communications required to support offerings


Upholding corporate branding, process and polices across all activities


Leading and executing key promotional marketing activities to build and enhance Air Products brand awareness in targeted markets; including product launches


Organizing and executing key marketing events as per business requirements


Integrated Corporate Communications Campaigns (20%)


Providing support to regional leadership for engagement initiatives such as regional quarterly Town Talks; may include helping to develop slide content Maintaining and updating internal and external regional corporate presentations & slide decks on a quarterly basis Identifying opportunities to increase the visibility and raise the external profile of Air Products and its JV partners in the region; through PR, Thought Leadership and Speaker Platforms; Developing and providing input to key messages for regional conferences / exhibitions and events; including speech writing for leadership where necessary Contributing to developing the annual strategic regional calendar of internal/external events for the region. Collating and creating content for monthly Regional Newsletter Providing Arabic translations for press releases and internal employee communications i.e., Middle East Newsletter as required


Overseeing correct regional application of brand and visual identity, ensuring that all branding work is aligned to corporate standards


Working with Procurement for any branding requirements (vehicles, offices etc.)


Organising conferences, exhibitions – including initial validation of opportunity to presentation and execution


Ability to navigate complex regional partnership roles such as: APQ, AHG, AP, JIGPC, NGHC


Hydrogen for transportation support (20%)


Working with the regional and global Hydrogen business leads to develop and implement the regional strategy for Hydrogen for transportation; to proactively drive, develop and suggest integrated corporate and marketing communications opportunities where appropriate


Responsibility for coordinating with third parties, the business leads and corporate communications on all regional Hydrogen for Transportation branded vehicles and stations; and related activities


Supporting the administration and logistics for hydrogen vehicles and assets in the region


Responsibility for collaborating with APQ on hydrogen for transportation opportunities that are co-ordinated in KSA via APQ


Ability to navigate complex regional partnership roles such as: APQ, AHG, AP


Social media and digital content (20%)


Responsibility for social media planning, in line with business objectives Creating engaging content that helps drive the regional strategy; supports and promotes the business and reflects cultural and regional milestones Providing analytical stats every 6 months to demonstrate and gauge how the region is  performing including evaluation of tools & channels used Developing, organizing and updating the regional (Middle East) country web site, share site and intranet site Contributing content for regional comms channels; creating CorpNews articles to promote good news stories concerning the region on a global scale internally


Supporting regional office and initiatives (10%)


Supporting marketing and communications requirements for the DTV offices; managing internal and external branding; managing ordering of branded giveaways; working closely with procurement to ensure speed and efficiency  Supporting HR initiatives and activities in the region to reflect corporate brand and messaging such as EVP.


Crisis Communications (15%)


Communications representative for crisis issues within KSA


Support regional crisis media training and take part in crisis media drills


V.  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor’s degree in marketing 5+ years’ experience in BTB industrial marketing with proven track record Excellent communications skills  Proven experience in crisis, issues and reputational management Proven experience in events management Self-starter with high initiative and a positive and professional approach to all engagements and tasks. Proven ability to strategize and prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced and ever-changing global business environment. Strong ability to collaborate and partner with colleagues of different cultural backgrounds who are driving projects, technology development and sales in different regions of the world. Ability to multitask effectively, managing multiple projects and executing time sensitive and critical tasks. Willingness to travel periodically within the region


VI. LANGUAGES


Fluent English and Arabic (written and verbal) is essential.
