JASARA PMC is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Manager - Logistics to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing logistics operations related to our large-scale infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. You will lead the logistics strategy, ensuring that resources are efficiently allocated and operations run smoothly from initiation to completion.
The Senior Manager - Logistics will support the Senior Director of logistics in all logistics and construction activities. Responsible in developing the logistics plan and strategy to support the construction of fixed assets, producing lookahead plans based on commodity demands for logistics and identifying key pinch points to ensure it is managed and mitigated. Develop the scope of services for all construction logistics works to augment the delivery of infrastructure and mixed-use assets. Develop the logistics onboarding plans for all contractors to ensure there is consistency with all processes and governance. Review the contractor’s logistics plans and ensure it is aligned with the overall logistics strategy for the project and the district.
Responsibilities
- Manages the team’s deliverables through effective leadership by setting individual objectives, managing performance and developing the team to maximize performance. Interviews and selects personnel for assignment as required.
- Works proactively with District/Project Leadership and teams to implement and deliver assets in line with Logistic policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Translates project construction logistics materials requirements into effective construction logistics plans that comply with the project logistics strategy.
- Supports the construction logistics team, the 3rd party construction logistics partner and the construction projects by ensuring Delivery Management System is set up and effective.
- Ensures that project and contractor construction logistics requirements and demand can be delivered effectively, efficiently, compliantly and safely.
- Leads planning for Logistics Budget and Cashflow Forecasting, Logistics budget assessment, and designs Procurement and scope deliverables of Procured Logistics services.
- Reviews operational procedures and method statements
- Partners with the Asset teams to ensure logistics coordination is effective.
- Plans and monitors the allocated use of land/plots and requests for temporary lay down areas.
- Manages any procured Logistics services to deliver their package of goods.
- Manages the variation control and early communication of foreseeable change.
- Maintains a detailed understanding of the procurement and commercial processes in operation.
- Defines and records Contractor, Supervision Consultant and Supplier logistics key performance indicators.
- Reviews assurance of equipment inspection, maintenance and testing in line with standards.
- Monitors Project Progress and develop planning and coordination strategy
- Sets and monitors security requirements in line with Policy.
- Establishes and monitors stockpile planning to support effective construction delivery.
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and implements best practices.
