Overview


MBC is looking for a senior professional to lead content partnerships for TV platforms business (MBCNOW & GOBX). Role is responsible for overall success of key partnerships as define by user engagement, financial results and other health and growth matrices. 


Key responsibilities and accountabilities


  • Actively investigate, propose and justify future content partnerships strategies. 
  • Leading partnerships discussions with various TV channels, OTT applications as well as other subscription-based services such as food delivery, e-commerce etc. 
  • Selection and launch of new media content, communicating with partners and working internally with Finance, legal, product, technical and Operational teams.
  • Drive communication, education, data management across partners.
  • Leverage data, market research and insights to evaluate new content partnership opportunities as well as to performance of partner content.
  • Create and present performance evaluations for partners, including comprehensive quarterly business reviews.
  • Develop internal partner playbooks that offers s concise overview of partnerships along with actionable strategic plans.
  • Build developing strong internal and external workflows to provide best-in-class service to partners.
  • Collaborate with content acquisition, content operations, editorial, and marketing on deal lifecycle to provide feedback and insights.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and editorial strategies that maximize user engagement.
  • Work with product and analytics teams to drive automation, enhanced reporting and tools to improve the efficiency of content perfromance and measurement.
  • Develop and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership, providing insights and data-driven analysis.

Requirements


  • Minimum 10 years of experience in content acquisition and partnership management in a Pay-TV and/or OTT environment.
  • Arabic speaker with deep knowledge of content attractiveness and "what works" in the MENA
  • Understanding of commercial models for content partnership with deep understanding of content rights management.
  • Demonstrate strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering results.
  • Have excellent communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience in conducting analysis to drive results leveraging data comprehension of video streaming business models (MVPD, TVE, SVOD, AVOD, TVOD, FAST).
  • Ability to cultivate and build strong relationships with content partners and industry counterparts.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
