JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT

The primary objective of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) Maintenance Manager is to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of the airport’s baggage handling systems. This role involves overseeing the maintenance and repair activities, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The BHS Maintenance Manager aims to minimize system downtime, enhance operational efficiency, and provide a seamless baggage handling experience for passengers.
KEY ACTIVITIES

1 Lead and manage a team of Engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff, providing training and development opportunities.
2 Locate improvement opportunities, make improvement plan and execute / distribute improvement plan.
3 Work closely with airport authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the BHS meets operational needs.
4 Developing policies and standard operating procedures for all maintenance work
5 Draft maintenance reports that help measure and improve team performance
6 Ensure all systems operate efficiently and meet regulatory standards.
7 Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment
8 Supervise planned maintenance works, especially during non-peak hours.
9 Provide first-line response service and fault attendance for any issues that arise within the BHS.
10 Develop and refine system failure contingency plans and conduct system failure drills
11 Prepare maintenance reports, incident reports, and conduct fault investigations and analysis.
12 Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.
13 Communicate effectively with all parties to address any issues or improvements.
14 Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
15 Promote a culture of safety within the team and across all operations.
