Responsibilities


  • Lead the operation and maintenance of the data center and MPLS network for the Riyadh Bus project as part of the IT/Telecom Infrastructure team.
  • Oversee and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Hands-on supervision of the operations and maintenance of the data center and telecom infrastructure, including fiber optic, GSM, and related networking components and protocols.
  • Conduct cybersecurity audits of the data center and manage related upgrades.
  • Implement and monitor performance-based tools to evaluate contractor performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to integrate network solutions with other systems.
  • Perform network performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Design and implement network solutions to meet business requirements.

Qualifications & Education Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the design and operation of data centers and telecom infrastructure.
  • Certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects.
  • Previous experience operating a data center for a public transport project.
