The Position


As Senior Ethics & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for driving compliance in relation to local codes and regulations. In addition, you will be closely driving and managing initiatives in the areas of business ethics, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, data privacy, and human rights across Saudi Arabia. Moreover, you will also provide day to day compliance support to Novo Nordisk across the Kingdom.


Your main accountabilities will be:


• Effective coordination, alignment, communication, and implementation of the global, regional, and local Ethics and Compliance strategy, program, procedures, and activities


• Providing high quality compliance and ethics advice to protect the integrity of the company on all such matters


• Supporting an organisational and cultural mindset to ensure that Novo Nordisk in Saudi Arabia achieves ambitious business targets in respect of sustainability and efficiency while driving a high level of integrity amongst managers and employees


• Ensuring the consolidation of proactive and protective Compliance risk assessments and mitigation action plans


• Coordinating and reporting on ethics and compliance matters


Qualifications


To be successful in being offered this position, you must:


• be a professionally qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience working closely with compliance and ethics matters


• have a Bachelors’ degree (or equivalent) in law with strong communication and compliance skills


• have extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical regulation and business transactions within the pharmaceutical industry, working closely with local and/or international (EFPIA/IFPMA) codes of practice


• be fluent in written and spoken English


Line management experience is favourable but not a strict requirement.


About the Department


As Senior Ethics & Compliance Manager, you will be part of a dynamic and diverse international LECQ team which is growing rapidly, aligned to the growth of the business and the large economic transformation in the Kingdom. You will report directly to the Senior Director of LECQ for Saudi Arabia, driving forward a variety of projects and liaising closely with our Global and Regional Ethics & Compliance colleagues and groups.
