Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Project & Development Services (PDS) team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in the design, implementation, and management of electrical systems for commercial buildings, shopping malls, and hotels. This role requires a commitment to excellence in project delivery and a proven ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical engineering design and project management for various commercial projects including shopping malls and hotels.
- Develop and review electrical design plans, specifications, and cost estimates to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and technical assessments to support project planning and execution.
- Work with multiple stakeholders to identify and resolve complex issues as it relates to electrical design and construction.
- Coordinate shop drawing, method statement, material datasheet and other submittals ensuring timely submission in line with project schedule.
- Ability to run complex meetings with multiple attendees, issue minutes promptly and follow up with participants for deliverables.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines, to integrate electrical systems effectively into overall project designs.
- Manage the tendering process for electrical works, including preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and negotiation with contractors.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they meet project specifications and safety standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting electrical engineering practices in the region.
- Ensure quality control and assurance processes are followed throughout project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present project reports to clients and stakeholders, clearly communicating progress, challenges, and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on commercial buildings, shopping malls, and hotels.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical design and engineering principles, including power distribution, lighting, and building automation systems.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Strong familiarity with local and international building codes and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.
