Job Description

  • Review/Study the Design Criteria and Specifications of Projects
  • Prepare Drawing Schedule and Study CADD and Engineering Hours
  • Supervise CADD Operators and make sure that their work is in the right track and as per schedule
  • Pre Site Visit and Coordination with Site for As Built condition
  • Design and study different architectural proposals for projects
  • Prepare Shop Drawings and release to client for approval
  • Review the commented drawings and arrange re-submittal
  • Meet the client frequently to clarify any ambiguities at the design stage
  • Make sure that all drawings produced for all disciplines are well coordinated
  • Coordinate with Electro-Mechanical Department
  • Coordinate with Scheduling & Cost Control Department for change orders
  • Coordinate with Procurement Department for materials selection and submittals
  • Coordinate with Suppliers and approve technical proposals/shop drawings and materials
  • Arrange Site Visits and suggest solutions for the problem arises from the site
  • Quantity take off of some architectural materials
  • Select and prepare materials and present them to client for approval
  • Ensure that ISO procedures are followed correctly for Engineering Department
  • Prepare As Built Drawings
  • Assist Estimation in preparation of sketches
  • Elaborate Minute of Meetings for all internal Coordination meetings
  • Monitor Material Finishes Presentations and ensure a proper engineering-procurement coordination
  • Prepare RFIs and TQs Requests for client review and clarification; based on Project Design Criteria and Specifications
  • Conduct periodical Internal Coordination meetings with Architects and Cad Operators to monitor the Engineering progress for each project, and comply with Engineering Submittal Schedules
  • Reply on all daily Architects and Cad Operators queries and questions; in order to solve all Architectural problems and take decisions; Discuss the decisions with Architectural Design Manager for global integrated coordination with all disciplines
  • Conduct site inspection visits and site as-built take off along with Architectural Team based on Projects requirements
  • Implement approved department’s policies, processes, and procedures
  • Provide instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
  • Support in monitoring day to day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures
