ROLE PURPOSE
To oversee, control, and approve the contractor’s construction methodologies during design phases and execution stages, ensuring adherence to quality, safety standards, and delivery timelines within Trojena’s specific mountain and high-altitude environment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Project Scope of Work Development
- Methodology Strategy Implementation: Assist and monitor the execution of the construction methodology strategy on-site, ensuring alignment with Trojena’s project goals.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with all applicable construction methods standards and regulations, maintaining governance across the project. Communicate high standards to contractors effectively.
- Quality Control: Review all civil, steel structures, facades, and temporary work method statements submitted by contractors and subcontractors, ensuring thorough vetting for each cluster.
- Design Review: Ensure all temporary workshop drawings and design notes for complex structures are approved by an outsourced professional engineering team.
- Lifting Plan Analysis: Analyze all lifting plans, focusing on installation and dismantling sequences of shoring, scaffolding, formwork, and heavy equipment.
- Erection Methodology Review: Check methods for the erection and dismantling of tower cranes, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Temporary Works Oversight: Control all temporary works shop drawings, including formwork, shoring, and scaffolding, ensuring adequate design and safety measures.
- HSE Coordination: Collaborate with the HSE team to ensure all risk assessments are conducted and documented.
- Logistics Coordination: Ensure contractor site installations accommodate logistics traffic, laydown areas, and temporary facilities in coordination with the logistics team.
People Management
- Team Development: Mentor team members, conduct mid-year and yearly performance reviews, and foster the development of Saudi nationals in construction methods specialties.
- High-Performance Culture: Collaborate with the construction methods director to build and maintain a high-performance team environment.
- Recruitment and Performance Management: Participate in setting performance requirements and recruiting for key positions across NEOM or externally. Establish performance objectives and provide support, evaluations, and feedback.

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 10+ years of senior operational experience in methods or temporary works departments within contracting or project management firms, or as a formwork and shoring supplier.
- knowledge of civil engineering principles with diverse project execution experience, including buildings, tunnels, bridges, and water and sewage plants.
- Proficient in materials and equipment used in construction, including formworks, scaffolding, shoring, bracing, and various crane types.
- Ability to perform design calculations for formwork and scaffolding, with expertise in design hypothesis checking.
- Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams, fostering motivation and collaboration to meet project deliverables within constraints.
- A proactive and agile approach to addressing workplace challenges, facilitating innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated capability to motivate staff, providing developmental opportunities to enhance operational performance.
Qualifications
- BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
