Role Summary: The Senior Completions Engineer will oversee the completion and documentation processes for the Performance Testing of the IGCC, ensuring adherence to established procedures and standards. This role involves, understanding of performance test procedures, understanding of document management system, establishing the complete database, workflow development, and compiling performance testing documentation to meet project requirements. Reporting to the Document control manager, the Senior Completions Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with JIGPC document lifecycle management and ISO standards, while facilitating an efficient and effective completion process.
Key Responsibilities:
Understanding Performance Test Procedures:
- Review and develop a deep understanding of the Performance Test Procedures for the IGCC Power Plant.
- Ensure alignment of testing activities with established procedures and project specifications.
Documentation Management:
- Identify and list all documentation requirements for the Performance Testing phase.
- Oversee the compilation of documents into a structured and coherent reporting format.
- Ensure all documentation is prepared, stored, and managed in compliance with JIGPC and ISO standards.
Completion Database:
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive completion database for performance testing activities.
- Regularly update the database to reflect progress and changes in testing workflows.
Workflow Development:
- Develop and implement workflows for the submission, review, and approval of input documents related to completion tasks.
- Coordinate workflows with stakeholders to streamline the approval process, utilizing platforms like Aconex.
Team Oversight:
- Lead and oversee a team of document controllers, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure team performance meets project requirements.
Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commissioning, start-up, and performance testing teams, to ensure smooth execution of completion tasks.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address and resolve issues related to documentation and workflows.
Quality Assurance and Reporting:
- Ensure all documentation and workflows adhere to applicable standards and best practices.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive completion reports for management review.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in completions and documentation management, preferably in the power plant or IGCC sector.
- Strong knowledge of performance testing procedures, completion workflows, and document control systems.
- Proficiency in document management platforms, especially Aconex.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with document lifecycle management and ISO standards.
