Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Commercial Manager responsible for driving our strategies and procurement of high quality ultra-fresh (Fruit, Vegetables & Meats). We’re looking for someone with solid experience in procuring and managing the entire supply chain of ultra fresh produces to ensure we provide the best quality products at the right price


What You’ll Do:


  • Own the profit and loss, consumer experience (quality and packaging) of ultra-fresh (fruits and vegetables, fresh meat) for Careem Groceries.
  • Lead procurement, supplier management, quality, and demand management for ultra-fresh categories.
  • Be a subject matter expert on sourcing, quality, pricing, and market dynamics of fresh produce.
  • Drive operations and category performance through detailed analysis of product assortment, pricing, and consumer behavior.
  • Lead the operations and category planning process, identifying growth opportunities and business targets through category, shopper, and market analysis.
  • Stay updated on trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the effect of competitors' operations on sales.
  • Establish and support the entire supply chain of fresh products to fulfill sales, quality, and margin objectives.
  • Review and analyze customer feedback on products, price changes, promotions, and plan actions to improve consumer experience and sales.

What You’ll Need:


Successful candidates will have a passionate commitment to improving the lives of people, an insane focus on excellence and customer centricity, and a strong alignment with our core values and purpose.


  • 5+ years of experience in procuring and managing the fruits and vegetables category for a large retail player.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in sourcing/importing fruits and vegetables globally.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards for fresh produce.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
