Senior Accountant


ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Overall GL accounting responsibility, including maintaining and reconciling Trail Balance and general ledger accounts.
  • Hand on experience on Prepaids, Accruals, Fixed assets amortization, costing, employees costing & burdens reconciliations and multiple intercompany transactions.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and Support month-end/year-end close process.
  • Should have a solid working knowledge of (IFRS) and strong financial analysis skills.
  • Assisting with annual internal & External audit & tax preparations.
  • Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance.
  • Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations.
  • Maintain the general ledger and perform other accounting duties as assigned.
  • Engages with the business services center where appropriate.
  • Ensures accuracy and consistency in application of Accounting Policy and Standards and appropriate internal controls.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commerce required.
  • Relevant years of accounting experience as a senior accountant
  • Working knowledge of local tax laws and IFRS, maintains the highest professional ethics and standards.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Oracle and Hyperion
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
