Job Description
Risk Assessment:
- Assess potential risks at work sites and determine necessary preventive measures to mitigate these risks.
Safety Program Development:
- Develop and implement safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Training and Awareness:
- Train employees on safety practices and emergency procedures, raising their awareness of the importance of workplace safety.
Inspection and Follow-up:
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards.
Incident Investigation:
- Investigate workplace incidents, identify their causes, and take necessary actions to prevent recurrence.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations:
- Adhere strictly to occupational safety and health laws and regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively in both Arabic and English with management, employees, and clients.
Team Collaboration:
- Work independently to accomplish assigned tasks and effectively as part of a team to achieve workplace safety objectives.
Initiative and Innovation:
- Demonstrate initiative and innovation by finding new and creative solutions to improve workplace safety.
Skills
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in safety and security in Saudi Arabia, with specific experience working for contracting companies and in project implementation.
- Certified in the field of safety and security, such as:
- NEBOSH Certification: Internationally recognized certification in occupational safety and health.
- OSHA Certification: US certification in occupational safety and health in the construction industry.
- IOSH Certification: UK certification in occupational safety and health.
- Proficiency in using relevant computer programs.
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Initiative and innovation.
- Commitment to laws and regulations.
