Scrum Master

The Scrum Master will be responsible for supporting complex projects/products using pre-existing knowledge, skills, templates, and expertise in various implementation methodologies. They will support all phases of the project/product lifecycle using project/product management practices. This position is responsible for concurrently managing multiple projects/products with multiple teams.

Responsibilities



+ Use Agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
+ Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives) to ensure continuous improvement and collaboration.
+ Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values effectively.
+ Assist the team in achieving sprint goals by removing impediments and fostering a productive environment.
+ Work with Product Owners to manage the product backlog and ensure items are clear, concise, and prioritized to meet customer needs.
+ Interact with internal stakeholders and product managers to understand customer needs, requirements, and timelines.
+ Challenge the team on estimation and prioritization using technical expertise and business context.
+ Support process improvements that guide the development, sustaining, and support activities of the PMO.
+ Utilize data analytics tools to monitor team performance, including velocity, sprint burndown, and cycle time, providing actionable insights to improve efficiency and predictability.
+ Develop and maintain dashboards that track team progress, risks, and delivery metrics, ensuring transparency with stakeholders.
+ Analyze historical data to support accurate sprint planning, capacity planning, and delivery forecasting
+ Collect, report, and present data on team productivity, defect rates, and quality metrics to drive continuous improvement and align with organizational goals.
+ Facilitate retrospectives using data to identify trends and actionable opportunities for process optimization.
+ Build a trusting and safe environment where team members feel empowered to raise problems without fear of blame, retribution, or judgment.
+ Facilitate discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
+ Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information across the organization.
+ Provide regular updates and insights to stakeholders on team performance and project health using quantitative data.
+ Collaborate with Product Owners to align on product requirements, vision, and delivery timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements



+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
+ 3+ Years of experience in a similar role.
+ Proficient in facilitating all Scrum ceremonies and removing impediments for the Scrum team.
+ Strong understanding of Agile principles and the ability to apply them effectively.
+ Experience in coaching team members on Agile practices.
+ Experience in defining execution plans and approaches based on project scope, expected timeline and available budget/resources.
+ Experience with process improvement and documentation.
+ Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
+ Strong interpersonal skills.
+ Advanced Agile / Scrum Master certification (e.g., PMI-ACP, A-CSM, SAFE) is desirable.
+ Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to collaborate.
+ Nice to have experience with Jira/Confluence and any process documentation tool.
