Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Scheduling Manager to oversee and manage project schedules, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.  The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience in scheduling, with a strong background in managing complex project timelines. Experience with tramway projects is highly desirable. This role involves developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to support project success and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule Development and Management:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Integrate input from various project teams and stakeholders to create realistic and achievable schedules.
Project Coordination:
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that scheduling aligns with project requirements and constraints.
  • Facilitate regular schedule review meetings to track progress, identify delays, and adjust plans as necessary.
Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Monitor project progress and performance against the schedule, identifying and addressing potential issues or delays.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on schedule status, including forecasts, variances, and corrective actions, to senior management.
Risk Management:
  • Identify schedule-related risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines.
  • Implement contingency plans and adjustments to address unforeseen changes or disruptions.
Resource Management:
  • Coordinate with resource managers to ensure that the necessary resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
  • Optimize resource utilization to prevent over-allocation and ensure project timelines are met.

 

  1. Schedule Analysis and Optimization:
  • Perform schedule analysis to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Use scheduling software and tools to enhance scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the primary contact for all scheduling-related inquiries and issues.
  • Communicate schedule updates, changes, and impacts to project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
Documentation and Compliance:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of scheduling processes, changes, and updates.
  • Ensure compliance with project standards, regulations, and contractual requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in scheduling, with a demonstrated track record in managing complex project schedules. Experience with tramway projects is advantageous.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in project scheduling and planning principles. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and best practices.
