Job Description

The Sales Engineer role is pivotal in bridging the gap between technical expertise and customer needs within the maritime and marine engineering sector. This position requires a dynamic individual who can effectively communicate complex technical information to clients while also understanding their requirements. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for promoting and selling engineering solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall growth of the company.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with clients in the maritime and marine engineering sectors.
  2. Conduct presentations and demonstrations of products and services to potential customers.
  3. Prepare and deliver technical proposals and quotations tailored to client specifications.
  4. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that customer requirements are met accurately.
  5. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  6. Provide after-sales support and address any technical inquiries from clients.
  7. Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote the company’s offerings.
  8. Assist in the development of marketing strategies and promotional materials.
  9. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
  10. Train and mentor junior sales staff on technical aspects of products and services.
