ROLE OVERVIEW
The Safety Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring a safe working environment by maintaining Safety data input, processing and output related to safety incidents, near misses, compliance audits, and training records, and promoting a culture of proactive safety awareness. This role requires a deep understanding of interpreting and identifying statistical analyses trends, patterns, and correlations in safety data to monitor safety performance for identification of areas of risk and areas of improvement, generate relevant reporting and statistics according to business needs.

Key Accountabilities & Activities
- Maintain Safety data input, processing and output related to safety incidents, near misses, compliance audits, and training records.
- Analyze safety data collected, evaluate, assess risks, introduce improvements to data integrity and monitor safety performance for identification of areas of risk and areas of improvement.
- Interpret and identify statistical analyses trends, patterns, and correlations in safety data and generate relevant reporting and statistics according to business needs.
- Design, develop and maintain statistically based safety reports and dashboards based on frequency mandates and business demands for communication to stakeholders of various levels at NEOM.
- Collaborate with cross-functional department heads and employees of different levels (FTEs, SMPs, secondees and contractors) to promote safety awareness and culture, deliver training, and/or onboard them to NEOM safety management platform.
- Assist in the preparation of safety reports for Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders (Board, CEO, Deputy CEO, Risk Committees), ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices with exposure and flexibility to implement changes to ensure proper compliance with the Safety industry guidelines, company policies, and practices.
- Ensure all users are aware and well educated about available safety management system(s) by providing guidance, and technical support to platform users.
- Assist in training developments and conduct training and support to team members on safety management platforms, data analysis tools and methodologies.
- Support meeting the objectives of ongoing development, customization, and enhancement of the management system for fulfilling business and users’ needs, and to improve compliance and reporting efficiency.

Knowledge Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of proven experience in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and data visualization, preferably in a safety or risk management context.
- Strong analytical mindset with a high sense of quality, attention to details and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner to diverse audiences with a strong sense of support and assistance to internal and external stakeholders with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Strong ability to understand key and important business drivers with strong problem-solving skills and multitasking and organizational skills.

- Possesses the ability to perceive business statistical analysis requirements and translate them into visual reporting.

- Proficiency in safety management systems such as Enablon EHS, SAP EHS, and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and business relevant information-technology-related systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001) is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, data science, information systems / - technology or a related field.
