Job Description
We are seeking an organized and efficient Room Coordinator to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Room Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences by managing room assignments, coordinating with various departments, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns.
- Manage and optimize room inventory, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of available spaces
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk teams to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrival
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and special requirements promptly and professionally
- Utilize scheduling software to manage room bookings and resolve any conflicts
- Maintain accurate records of room status, occupancy rates, and guest preferences
- Assist in creating and updating room assignment charts and floor plans
- Collaborate with sales and events teams to accommodate group bookings and special events
- Monitor and report on room revenue and occupancy statistics
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols in all assigned areas
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas for improving guest satisfaction and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality or administrative role
- Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry and current trends (preferred)
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
