Job Description

Advanced smelting Industries Co. (ASIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee.


The smelter is situated in the Jizan Economic City and is designed to smelt ilmenite (Titanium rich mineral sand) to produce Titania Dioxide slag and pig iron. The plant consists of two Electric Arc furnaces, each with a capacity of 250kt slag and 125kt pig iron. The slag that is produced is tapped from the furnace and processed to be used as feed stock for the titanium chlorination and sulphuric acid processes to finally produce Titanium pigment which is mainly used in paints and plastics.


Rigger IV, Workshop


An exciting opportunity is available Rigger IV, Workshop, based in Jizan who will report directly to Superiors Workshop


 Summary:


We are seeking for a motivated Rigger who will:


  • To perform/determine Rigging activities on company assets. The role holder works under supervision, and is authorized to conduct an initial review and to sign off on completed tasks using the related IT system. May also assist the technicians at Stage A to facilitate completion of tasks as per defined quality and HSE standards

In this role, you will be responsible of:


  • Create and maintain a working environment for people to achieve excellence in their working environment
  • Approach all aspect of the work being performed with safety as the highest priority.
  • Escalates issues to his superior for work which does not appear to be valid or costly.
  • Review the work to be performed and determine the best way to accomplish the work. They will consult with applicable Supervisors, Production Supervisors, Planner/Schedule and Stores as necessary.
  • Maneuvering loads using heavy equipment machinery and by hand.
  • Continuously improves the job estimate, planning and scheduling by receiving feedback from maintenance supervisors, production supervisors, engineers and planners.
  • Breaking down rigging equipment and conducting post-rigging inspections.
  • Inspecting and preparing loads that need to be moved
  • Provide job estimates based on craft or skills required, sequence required and number required.
  • Ensuring compliance with state and company safety procedures.
  • Setting, aligning, and leveling heavy equipment machinery.
  • Selecting the appropriate rigging gear.
  • Verifies all material, information, tools and labor are available prior to commencement of work.
  • Demonstrated ability read and understand accurate instructions of PMs and corrective work order.
  • Preparing rigging equipment including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts.
  • Inspecting rigging before final use.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment to facilitate proper operating conditions of assets and adherence to defined industrial standards.
  • Maintain inventory of non-stock and selected items required to ensure continued operability of equipment.
  • Receive regular attention and direction from supervisor on required duties and priorities. Will consult senior colleagues of acquisition of spare parts, materials and consumables in line with delegation of authority.
  • Provide prompt response to on call requests within the guidelines and standards of maintenance to ensure timely and effective uptime.
  • Report any deficiencies on equipment through proper communication channels and reporting. Assist stage A technicians to support on all defined maintenance tasks as per delegated authority to facilitate completion of tasks as per defined timelines.
  • Regularly contribute towards the training of various trainees in the department to ensure availability of competent technicians in the future.
  • Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:


  • Diploma or technical certificate of a relevant technical discipline in Mechanical or Rigging.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience as Rigger.

Required:


  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment.
  • Well-developed communication and teamwork skills
  • Spatial awareness, which enables the rigger to appropriately move bulky and awkward materials through tight spaces
  • Concern for safety: Rigging is a very dangerous profession and a rigger must pay special and particular attention to safety
  • Excellent hearing and vision.
  • In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand accurate instructions of PMs and corrective work order.
  • Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, machine and process drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to use measurements tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge and understands the maintenance processes and proper use of the work order system, planning and scheduling and storeroom processes.
  • SAP proficiency
