In this role, the Rig Safety & Training Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing safety protocols and training programs on drilling rigs. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, develop training content, and foster a culture of safety among rig personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify safety training needs for employees on rig operations.
- Design, develop, and deliver safety training programs tailored to various positions on the rig.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to HSE standards.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain up-to-date records of training certifications and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with management to implement emergency response plans and safety policies.
- Promote safety awareness through ongoing communication, meetings, and training initiatives.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to rig safety.
