The Role of the Assistant restaurants Manager
The role of a Restaurant Assistant Manager is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of a hotel's all-day or fine dining restaurant. With the responsibility to plan, organize, control, and direct the work of employees, they play a vital role in maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction.
As Restaurant Assistant Managers are responsible for creating and implementing efficient systems and processes to ensure the smooth flow of operations. They oversee various aspects such as scheduling shifts, monitoring inventory levels, managing food and beverage quality standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Effective communication skills are essential for Restaurant Assistant Managers as they collaborate with other departments within the hotel to coordinate functions or special events. They also work closely with kitchen staff and chefs to ensure seamless coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Your role as the Restaurant Assistant Manager encompasses leading and managing a team of employees while prioritizing restaurant operation.
Knowledge and Skills
College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management.
2 – 3 years of restaurant management experience in a luxury hotel
To react and adjust to changing business environments and lead the team in ensuring the capacity to communicate with diverse team of cultures in a fast-paced setting
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job
Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
Excellent communication skills and a strong innovative mindset
The ability efficient financial management of the business
Strong leadership & organizational skills required
