About Kimpton Riyadh



Located in King Abdullah Financial District which is set in the heart of the Saudi capital, 22-kilometers away from the airport, Kimpton Riyadh is the first Kimpton in the Middle East bringing the brand’s playful energy, infectious personality, and unique design style to this LEED certified landmark development home to 1.6 million square meters of state-of-the-art office space, world-class venues and iconic luxury residences. The hotel welcome guests to experience its 212 guest rooms and suites and to enjoy its unique dining options.
A Reservations Agent plays a crucial role in managing guest bookings and ensuring a seamless reservation experience. Here are the typical day-to-day activities for this position:

Day-to-Day Activities of a Reservations Agent



- Handling Guest Inquiries:
Answering phone calls and responding to emails from guests interested in making reservations or having questions about their bookings Providing information about room availability, rates, hotel amenities, and local attractions- Managing Reservations:
Processing reservations, modifications, and cancellations using the hotel's reservation system Ensuring that all reservation details are accurately recorded and updated in the system- Guest Interaction:
Assisting guests with special requests, such as room preferences, early check-ins, and late check-outs Handling guest complaints and resolving issues related to reservations promptly and professionally- Promoting Hotel Services:
Informing guests about special offers, packages, and promotions to enhance their stay Upselling additional services, such as spa treatments, dining options, and event tickets- Coordination with Other Departments:
Communicating with the front desk, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure that guest requests and special arrangements are met Coordinating with the sales and marketing team about group bookings and special promotions- Administrative Tasks:
Maintaining accurate records of all reservations and guest information Preparing reports on reservation statistics, occupancy rates, and revenue- Ensuring Quality and Compliance:
Ensuring that all reservations handling and processes comply with hotel policies and standards Reviewing and implementing new reservations procedures to improve efficiency

Skills and Qualities Needed



- Strong Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests, staff, and other departments- Organizational Skills:
Managing multiple tasks and maintaining detailed records efficiently- Attention to Detail:
Ensuring accuracy in reservations and guest information- Problem-Solving Skills:
Addressing and resolving issues promptly and effectively

What we need from you



Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration
• Two to Three years’ prior tenure in a similar role
• International luxury hotel chain background
• GCC exposure
• English Fluency is required
• Arabic Fluency is preferred

This may involve taking on additional responsibilities as needed, especially during periods of high occupancy or in emergency situations.
