Responsibilities*Financial Reporting and Transaction Processing
Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing with accurate cut-offs. To ensure that all daily transactions are processed in an accurate and timely manner utilizing the implemented accounting software. Coordinate the accounting and recording of financial transaction in accordance with USGAAP, PepsiCo policies and in accordance with local statutory requirements on SAP Ensure the timely development of relevant and reliable financial information to all ‘stakeholders’ (local statutory reporting, Shareholders, BU/Region, PI etc.) Prepare annual statutory accounts for local regulatory purpose and shareholders. Coordinate statutory audit & periodic/annual filing of tax & Zakat returns with Tax Manager.
Internal controls & GCS
Recommend any improvement in controls to the existing FR process. Apply quick and sustainable solutions for all observations relating to FR process raised by internal and corporate auditors. Sustain GCS process; risk assessment, update process flows, key controls, etc. Responsible for the effective execution of key controls by; Understanding the objective of the control (on an on-going basis). Documenting the test script attributes for effective execution of the control (as required). Evaluating the effectiveness of the control through testing (quarterly and/or as required). Maintaining an audit trail to evidence execution of the activities, sufficient to enable re-performance by independent 3rd party (on an on-going basis). Remediating any control deficiency (as required). Providing results of verification (as required).
SAP
Ensure continuous improvement/enhancement in the functional usage of SAP.
Training and Leading
To ensure that staff understand the need for compliance with policies and procedures and reason to perform assigned tasks within the department. To provide on the job training to FR team while explaining the risks and exposures related to non-compliance. Develop the bench for all critical positions and support the enhancement of softer skills for DRs.
Qualifications
Preferably Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant with at-least 3-6 years of post-qualification experience. Strong analytical skills. Strong accounting experience, preferably in FMCG environment. IT system familiarity; preferably SAP. Good Knowledge of IAS, US GAAP & IFRS. Fundamental local tax/zakat competency.
