Our Saudi-based Sanabil Venture Studio is launching a 'Remit Now, Pay Later' startup aiming to revolutionize the remittance industry in Saudi Arabia by providing an affordable, flexible, and innovative solution for international money transfers. Our mission is to empower expats in KSA with a seamless platform that allows users to remit funds instantly while having the flexibility to pay at a later time.
We are looking for a passionate Freelance Remittance Expert to join our team, bringing valuable insights and technical expertise to elevate our business model and drive successful remittance operations in the region.
Location: Saudi Arabia (Remote/Hybrid)
About the Venture:Our venture leverages cutting-edge financial technology to offer a disruptive remittance solution, catering primarily to expatriates in KSA. By combining instant remittance services with a 'pay later' feature, we provide greater flexibility and convenience in cross-border money transfers.
Role Overview:As a Freelance Remittance Expert, you will be pivotal in helping us design, implement, and manage our remittance operations, from ensuring regulatory compliance to optimizing transaction processes. Your experience in the remittance industry, coupled with your understanding of the local Saudi market, will drive the success of our platform.
You will work closely with the founding team, providing expert advice on remittance operations, cross-border payments, financial compliance, and partnerships with financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:Remittance Strategy & Operations:- Develop and execute the remittance strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory frameworks.
- Design efficient cross-border money transfer processes for the 'Remit Now, Pay Later' model.
- Establish strong partnerships with exchange platforms and payment service providers to enable smooth money transfers.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) regulations and international remittance laws.
- Support in anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) procedures to safeguard transactions and mitigate risk.
- Oversee legal and compliance documentation for local and international transactions.
Financial Partnerships & Integration:- Build and maintain relationships with remittance service providers, banks, and fintech partners across different corridors.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate secure payment gateways and APIs.
Technology & Product Development Support:- Advise on integrating remittance services into the company’s platform, focusing on scalability and user experience.
- Work closely with the product and engineering teams to ensure secure, reliable, and fast remittance features.
Market & Customer Development:- Support customer acquisition and retention efforts by sharing insights on key remittance corridors and customer behavior.
- Assist in defining pricing strategies, transaction fees, and financing options to attract remittance users.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Proven experience in the remittance industry, particularly in KSA
- In-depth knowledge of cross-border payments, remittance operations, and digital payment platforms.
- Strong understanding of Saudi Arabia’s regulatory environment and compliance requirements (SAMA, AML, KYC, etc.).
- Demonstrated track record in managing partnerships with financial institutions and payment processors and has a network with exchange platforms in KSA
- Experience in remittance corridor analysis, customer behavior, and strategic pricing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a startup environment.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English.
