Registrar – ENT (Otolaryngology)
Job Description
The Registrar in ENT ( Otolaryngology ) will provide high-quality telemedicine services within a digital clinic setting. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive ear, nose, and throat care through virtual consultations, ensuring patient-centered outcomes and effective healthcare delivery
Assessment and Diagnosis
Conduct thorough assessments and accurate diagnoses of ENT conditions. Perform detailed patient histories and symptom reviews through virtual consultations. Utilize digital tools to conduct preliminary assessments (e.g., visual examinations, questionnaires). Discuss findings with patients and recommend further diagnostic testing, if necessary
Management and Treatment Planning and Implementation
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients. Collaborate with patients to establish clear treatment goals and options. Utilize evidence-based guidelines to formulate treatment strategies. Monitor patient adherence to treatment plans and adjust as needed through follow-up
Clinical Quality and Safe Practice
Ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality clinical care. Adhere to clinical guidelines and best practices in the management of ENT conditions. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and telemedicine audits. Report and analyze any incidents or adverse events related to telehealth services
Collaboration with Healthcare Providers
Foster effective collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Participate in virtual case discussions with other healthcare professionals. Share insights and recommendations regarding patient management in team meetings. Coordinate referrals and care transitions with external specialists as needed
Patient Safety and Satisfaction
Promote patient safety and enhance patient satisfaction in telemedicine services. Implement and monitor patient safety protocols specific to telehealth. Collect and analyze patient feedback to identify areas for service improvement. Address patient concerns and ensure effective communication throughout the care process
Professional Development and Compliance
Engage in ongoing professional development and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and relevant training for telemedicine. Stay updated on changes in clinical guidelines and telehealth practices. Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional growth and development
Skills
Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical school. Residency training or Masters Degree in ENT from an accredited program. Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as Registrar – ENT (Otolaryngology). Proficiency in telehealth technologies and platforms. Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with Otolaryngology assessment tools. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and telemedicine platforms. Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective relationships with patients and colleagues. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest advancements in Otolaryngology, population health management, and value-based care. Arabic and English Language Proficiency
