Job Purpose:
To provide specialized diagnostic imaging services, focusing on X-ray procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. The radiology Specialist will perform advanced imaging procedures, oversee patient care, and support the overall diagnostic process across various settings, including Primary Care centers, and Home Health Care.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care:
- Perform advanced diagnostic X-ray procedures, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and optimal use of imaging equipment.
- Supervise and manage patients' safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Provide continuity of care by coordinating follow-up imaging or additional diagnostic interventions as required.
- Maintain and ensure the calibration and functionality of X-ray equipment to meet operational and safety standards.
Patient Education and Support:
- Educate patients and families about the X-ray process, including preparation, procedure steps, and aftercare instructions.
Coordination and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure integrated patient care.
- Coordinate with the teleradiology team for sharing images and diagnostic results efficiently.
- Act as a liaison between radiology and other medical departments for complex cases requiring specialized imaging.
Quality and Compliance:
- Adhere to healthcare regulations, including safety protocols and radiation protection standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with patient safety measures and infection control practices.
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate patient records and image documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with radiology and medical practice standards set by regulatory bodies.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in X-ray technology and diagnostic imaging techniques.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training programs.
- Mentor and supervise junior radiology staff, including technologists, as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Licensure and Certification:
- Valid radiology specialist license in Saudi Arabia from SCHS.
Experience:
- Experience as an radiology specialist in diagnostic radiology.
- Proven experience in advanced imaging procedures and patient management.
Skills
- Strong clinical and technical skills in operating and interpreting X-ray equipment and images.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other diagnostic healthcare technologies.
Working Conditions:
- Environment: Work is performed in Primary Healthcare Centre, and Home health care visits.
- Hours:
1) Full-time position with varying shifts, including weekends and holidays when needed.
2) Part-time position with fixed hour weekly & shifts, including weekends and holidays as Organized by manager of PHC.
