Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor (QS) MEP with experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working with contractors and possess strong technical and analytical skills. The role involves preparing BOQs, issuing work certificates, cost estimation, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on project requirements.
- Issue work certificates and verify subcontractor claims based on completed work.
- Estimate costs and prepare detailed project budgets for MEP works.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate cost estimation.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor and control project costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Review and negotiate contract terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications for client approval.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Prepare variation orders, claims, and cost impact reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 10-12 years of experience in QS roles within MEP projects.
- Previous experience working with contractors in Saudi Arabia is mandatory.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and other relevant QS software.
- Strong knowledge of MEP materials, cost estimation, and contract administration.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with Saudi construction regulations and industry standards.
- Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as MRICS or PMP are a plus.
- Strong experience in FIDIC contracts and cost control methodologies.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
