Position: Quantity Surveyor (Civil & Architectural)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a strong civil and architectural background to join our team for the prestigious Diriyah Gate Tunnel Construction and Architectural Fit-Out project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of the project’s civil, structural, and architectural works, ensuring cost-effectiveness, accuracy, and adherence to project standards.
Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Prepare, monitor, and control budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts for civil and architectural activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- BOQ Preparation: Develop and maintain comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for structural, finishing, and architectural works based on drawings, specifications, and relevant documentation.
- Tendering and Procurement: Support procurement by preparing tender documents, reviewing bids, evaluating proposals, and negotiating terms for civil and architectural packages.
- Valuations & Payments: Conduct interim valuations, compile payment applications, and ensure timely invoicing and follow-ups with clients and subcontractors.
- Variation Analysis: Identify, assess, and document variations in scope or design for civil and architectural elements. Ensure that all claims and adjustments are well-substantiated and recorded.
- Cost Reporting: Provide regular financial updates, including cost-to-complete forecasts, cash flow projections, and detailed cost reports to project stakeholders.
- Coordination & Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure alignment on cost, scope, and scheduling. Facilitate clear communication among all project disciplines.
- Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks related to civil and architectural works and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain project cost efficiency.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all cost management activities adhere to local regulations, project specifications, and company policies. Maintain high standards of integrity and accuracy in all financial documentation.
Requirements:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of quantity surveying experience, with at least 5 years focusing on civil and/or architectural works.
- Previous experience on large-scale infrastructure or tunneling projects is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cost estimation, contract administration, and BOQ preparation for civil and architectural packages.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, finishes, materials, and related specifications.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera P6) and cost management tools.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- RICS, AIQS, or equivalent professional accreditation.
