Job Description

  • Develop and implement comprehensive QA/QC plans tailored to the specific requirements of the construction project.
  • Prepare ITPs for all construction activities, detailing the inspection and testing processes for each phase of the project.
  • Lead and mentor the QA/QC team, including inspectors and QC engineers, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated.
  • Facilitate communication between the QA/QC team, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct regular meetings with site teams to address quality issues and coordinate corrective actions
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to review design documents, ensuring they meet quality standards and are free from errors.
  • Review and approve construction drawings, technical specifications, and other design-related documents.
  • Conduct and oversee regular site inspections to monitor compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure that all materials used in the project, such as concrete, steel, and other building materials, undergo appropriate testing to meet quality requirements.
  • Monitor the quality of workmanship in all phases of construction, from foundation work to finishing.
  • Identify, document, and report any non-conformance issues that arise during construction.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of corrective actions to address non-conformance issues, ensuring they are resolved promptly.
  • Establish procedures to prevent the recurrence of non-conformance issues.
  • Regularly prepare and submit QA/QC reports to project management and stakeholders, summarizing inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date, properly archived, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure their work meets project quality standards.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives based on lessons learned and feedback from the project team.
  • Ensure that QA/QC processes are integrated with health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the HSE team to conduct joint audits that include quality and safety aspects.
  • Ensure that all QA/QC-related documents are handed over to the client at project completion, ensuring a smooth transition.

Skills

  • Proficiency in quality management software and construction management tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
  • Professional certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, ASQ Certified Quality Manager) are an advantage.
