Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia



JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Naval Forces ships and train RSNF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their ships and equipment.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES



The post holder is responsible for:
· Conducting project / Function activities and tasks as directed Head of Engineering - Naval
· Acting as central contact for Naval for all quality related issues (both internal/external).
· Managing the defined quality process, the evaluation, approval and through-life management, through surveillance plans, of vendors of customer deliverable equipment, ensuring the satisfaction of customer and regulatory requirements for quality, and ensuring elimination of quality risk through these approaches to BAE Systems Saudi Arabia business.
· Leading and conducting audits, assessments and investigations into product and/or process failures in line with business needs.
· Providing an interface with the internal customer and supplier/subcontractors on all Quality Assurance matters and shall be an efficient communicator with confidence and experience in dealing with these parties.
· Representing the Quality Department as project Quality Assurance Specialist assuring that contractual quality conditions and company requirements, including Lifecycle Management (LCM) requirements, are achieved. To undertake product certification activities as necessary.
· Producing and preparing Quality Plans in line with LCM requirements. Comprehensive reports are produced assuring project activities are addressed to the customer’s satisfaction. Preparation of Certificates of Conformity.
· As required, responsible for the day-to-day liaison, tracking and reporting on quality issues and resolutions through written reports and presentations.
· As required, assess business areas for compliance to quality requirements, preform audits, report preparation/issue and follow-up actions to agreed timescales.
· As required, carry out ‘Guide’ duties for 3rd Party assessors and resolve assessor queries as they arise.
· As required, identify and deliver departmental training needs for the Quality Assurance team.
· As required, the job holder will provide Quality Assurance support to BAE Systems Saudi Arabia business, involved in the supply of customer deliverable equipment and services.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION



The post holder must:
· Have a proven Quality background within a Quality / Assurance environment.
· Be ISO9001 or AS9110 qualified Lead Auditor
· Have a strong understanding and experience of corporate governance and compliance activities and processes. Proactive planning, organising and implementing tasks that are required to ensure that BAE Systems Saudi Arabia quality standards conform both with customer (internal & external) and regulatory body requirements
· Be able to exchange ideas and information effectively in a concise and logical way, and be sensitive to audience diversity. The job holder may also require a degree of tact and diplomacy when dealing with others.
· Be able to report both verbal and written to external customers, suppliers and internal customers pertaining to audits and fault investigations as required.
· Preferably have experience in Naval Domain.
