Job Description

Job Purpose / Objective


Responsible for the implementation of quality assurance and assist quality team by providing support in quality improvement, continuous education, training, monitoring and audits based on national and international healthcare standards, quality enhancement and accreditation.


Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities


  • Assist in developing and maintaining quality assurance systems.
  • Participate in multiple complex initiatives that impact the quality or effectiveness of health care delivery and/or health care services, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Initiate the facilitation and implementation of all quality and care management initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze outcomes to ensure goals, objectives, outcomes, accreditation and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Participate in departmental evaluation, audit and improvement activities.
  • Write, review, and edit comprehensive reports that document the overall outcome of the QI reviews detailing the actual findings and recommendations by individual service categories, and providers.
  • Participate in QI reviews at various service facilities within the HMG to assess compliance of service.
  • Assist in identifying service delivery indicators and outcome measures to evaluate effectiveness of applied standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of surveys and other related evaluation tools.
  • Review QI review findings, and formulate recommendations to improve the quality of standards of care.
  • Educate various departmental staff on Quality Improvement Tools and conduct performance assessments with departments involved in clinical quality initiatives.
  • Ensure Quality Improvement studies/projects are synchronized with the Priority Setting Criteria.
  • Prioritize, anticipate and assess QI needs of HMG by identifying educational opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure subjects of the QI projects or studies being conducted are appropriately measured to reflect sustained improvements.
  • Participate in the clinical care reviews, Medical Record Reviews, Quality Improvement surveys, incident reporting, infection control surveillance, and patient satisfaction/complaint programs and any other quality management activities if applicable.
  • Coordinate collection, analysis and write up of evaluation of the project deliverables.
  • Aggregate and analyze project level qualitative and quantitative data for reporting purposes.
  • Coordinate accreditation needs with the appropriate action.
  • In conjunction with medical director, communicate quality improvement initiatives, results, and performance data to participating physician groups.
  • Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
  • Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
  • Perform other applicable tasks assigned within the level of his/her competence as required by the line manager.

Education/ Professional Qualification


  • Educational  : Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Professional : Healthcare Management, Quality Management

Experience


  • 2 years of experience in quality improvement and assessment

Professional Licensing / Certification / Training


  • Certification  : Relevant certifications
