QS Manager

The Managing Quantity Surveyor (QS Manager) will oversee all quantity surveying activities within the company, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role is pivotal in providing commercial support and guidance across all construction projects, maintaining a strong focus on cost management, contract administration, and stakeholder communication.

• Project Cost Management:
  • Develop and maintain project cost plans and budgets.
  • Monitor and control expenditure throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct cost analysis and present detailed reports to senior management.
  • Contract Management:
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Manage contract disputes and claims effectively.
• Procurement:
  • Oversee the procurement process, including the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids.
  • Negotiate and finalize agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and mentor the quantity surveying team, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify training and development needs.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Stakeholder Communication:
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide regular updates on project progress.
  • Address and resolve any commercial issues that arise.
  • Ensure transparent and effective communication channels are maintained.
• Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports and forecasts.
  • Conduct regular project financial reviews to ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
  • Support the finance department with project-related financial data.
  • Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project timelines and milestones.
  • Ensure alignment of quantity surveying activities with overall project plans.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within a construction company (main contractor).
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
• Excellent understanding of construction methodologies and materials.
• Proficient in cost estimating and budgeting software.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve project goals.
• Open to relocate to Saudi, even in remote areas.
