Key responsibilities

Operational Activities: 


  • Verify incoming vehicle inspections (quality of trucks by visual) and records. Take corrective actions, if required.
  • Inspects incoming materials as per sampling procedure and raw/pack Quality control plan.
  • Verify packaging quality such as external appearances including pallets and label information (production, expiry, weight, storage temp. etc.).
  • Sampling of materials for chemical and microbiological analysis as per sampling procedure.
  • Review and control of standard RM/PM specifications.
  • Responsible for raw material quality improvement. Co-ordinate the disposition of out-of-specification products, to monitor and review the effectiveness of in-coming raw material quality control and update the documentation to the current practices.
  • Responsible for supplier corrective action request (SCAR) management.
  • To ensure the right cleaning procedures in raw material laboratory.
  • Visual, sensory, physio-chemical analysis against internal specifications and supplier COA’s.
  • Release materials by SAP system and records tracking.
  • Issues LTI & Materials by SAP system for internal rejection materials.
  • Record and maintain all materials inspection reports.
  • Recommend and confirm materials storage quality, allergen, and storage temperature.
  • Recommend materials for production usages as per flow/feasibility.
  • Monitor and record facility temperature for RM/PM stores.
  • Follows up material conformity during receipt and up to usages/standard shelf life.
  • Monitor and control material non-conformance, rejection.
  • Prepare and present Pre & Post trial reports for new or existing materials with Laboratory Supervisor & QC process supervisor.
  • Prepare monthly report– New RM/PM, NCR & Rejection summary.
  • Calculate the weekly, monthly KPI’s for Raw/Pack materials.
  • Pass mock recall and traceability trials for Raw/Pack (material side).
  • To be involved in all internal/external customer audits preparation.
  • Participates actively in HACCP team.

Qualifications and skills

Suppliers Quality Assurance & Registrations:


  • Performs artwork verification and SFDA registration with QC Process Supervisor & Lab Supervisor.
  • Verify and update specifications & compliances.
  • Follows up on the effectiveness of corrective and preventive action plans that is requested from suppliers.
  • Evaluates new RM/PM drawings and specifications.
  • Evaluates supplier samples, reports, and conclusions.
  • Evaluates the new supplier performance based on the deliveries, approval of suppliers and records.
  • Follows up the pre-requisition programs of new and existing supplier audits.
  • Controls supplier/materials compliance records based on the supplier approval procedure (pre-audit questionnaire, letter of guaranteed, system certificates, product specification, GMO, allergen control, pesticide, heavy metals etc.).
  • Participate actively in supplier audit/visit.
  • Visits suppliers for online approval for packaging materials (labels, laminates, jars etc.).
  • Conduct supplier assessments with supply chain, purchasing and lab team.

Qualifications 


  • Preferably a graduate in chemical engineering or B.S Chemistry or any other related food industries field.
  • Must have relevant experiences of at least 3 years total in laboratory or FMCG manufacturing site.
  • Working knowledge of local food laws and regulation (understanding of product certification programs such as Kosher, Halal, and Organic).
  • Knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, SPC and AIB product safety system.
  • Strong leadership with excellent communication skills.
  • Understands GMP and GLP requirements.
  • Laboratory instruments testing’s & troubleshoots.
  • Good teamwork, decision making capabilities, ability to lead, coach, manages and develops a team by giving right guidance and continuous support.
  • Knowledge on allergen handling and processing.
  • Knowledge of food and facility security requirements.
