Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Manager with a strong mechanical background to oversee and ensure the quality standards of mechanical systems, equipment, and processes. The QC Manager will lead a team responsible for conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and implementing corrective actions when necessary. This role involves both strategic and hands-on tasks to maintain and improve product quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities: - Quality Control Management: Oversee all aspects of mechanical quality control, including product inspections, testing, and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Team Leadership: Manage, train, and develop a team of QC inspectors and engineers. Provide guidance on technical issues, quality improvement initiatives, and performance management.
- Inspection and Testing: Ensure that mechanical products and components undergo rigorous testing and inspections to meet established quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in production and testing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Non-conformance Management: Identify, investigate, and resolve non-conformance issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate quality control records, inspection reports, and other relevant documentation. Prepare and present regular quality reports to senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure that quality control processes align with project requirements and timelines.
Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Certification in Quality Control or Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is a plus.
- Experience: At least 8+ years of experience in quality control or mechanical engineering, with a focus on quality assurance in manufacturing or production environments. Previous management experience is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, testing methods, and quality standards. Familiarity with mechanical inspection tools and equipment.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with quality management software and MS Office Suite. Experience with CAD and engineering software is a plus.
