The QA/QC Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) for all construction projects. This role ensures compliance with international quality standards and leads quality assurance and control strategies to uphold the highest standards of materials, workmanship, and project execution. Responsibilities include conducting audits, inspections, and root cause analyses, ensuring continuous quality improvement, and overseeing project closeouts with complete documentation.
Key Accountabilities- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) across all projects.
- Ensure that all construction processes and materials meet required quality standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Establish and manage the company’s QA strategy, ensuring that all procedures and protocols are in place for consistent delivery.
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality policies, procedures, and manuals for all project phases (design, construction, handover).
- Ensure quality control of materials, workmanship, and site activities through regular inspections, testing, and monitoring.
- Oversee inspections, audits, and reviews to verify that quality requirements are met.
- Monitor and analyse quality metrics for ongoing projects and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct regular quality audits and generate detailed reports for management and stakeholders.
- Report non-conformance, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Oversee the handover process, ensuring all quality documentation (manuals, warranties, certifications) is completed.
- Ensure final inspections and testing are carried out before project delivery to the client.
Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceWe Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry, including 5 years in a senior management position.
- In-depth knowledge of construction quality standards (ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM, etc.).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills .
